“A congressional investigation concluded that Dr. Anthony Fauci was involved in a 'massive' cover-up of the COVID-19 origins, including suppressing the lab leak theory and coordinating with scientists to discredit it publicly while privately acknowledging its plausibility.”
Remember when "lab leak" would get you banned from social media? When saying COVID might have come from the Wuhan Institute of Virology was "dangerous misinformation"? Congressional investigators now say Fauci was behind that suppression — and they're calling it "massive."
According to the NY Post's reporting on the congressional investigation, Fauci coordinated with scientists to publicly dismiss the lab leak theory while privately acknowledging it was plausible. Emails show scientists who initially believed in a lab origin suddenly changed their position after private calls with Fauci — and then received millions in NIH grant funding.
The NIH, under Fauci's direction, funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology through EcoHealth Alliance. When the pandemic began at the doorstep of that same lab, Fauci had every motive to suppress the lab leak theory — because it led directly back to research he helped fund.
The suppression wasn't just institutional — it was technological. Social media platforms banned lab leak discussion based on "scientific consensus" that was itself manufactured. People lost accounts, jobs, and credibility for stating what a congressional investigation now confirms. Nobody has been held accountable.
